Oil on Cardboard (Burnt umber and white.)
Trying to use large brush strokes and be quite immediate with the paint.
Lots of mistakes and rushed parts, the setup was moved half way through and lighting on the canvas was too dark. Learnt a lot and had fun. It's nice to be painting again.

Day #9 Watering Can
Examples to show possible steps of painting to my class, kept shadows/details simpler than life for this. Construction, blocking in, blending and refining.
Day #8 Bird Skeleton
Indian ink of cartridge paper, from life.
Bird Skeleton from the science department of the school I am working at, I used this as a demonstration of negative space. The school quality inks I was using were terrible, so I have shopped it to just black and white.

Day #5 Study of Jug in Monochrome
Oil on cardboard, burnt umber and white.
These days have been manic, from the time I wake up until the early hours I'm writing schemes of work, lesson plans, power points and resources. I do enjoy it, but there never seems to be enough time. I just remembered I am doing an oil tutorial tomorrow in a new school so I quickly did this as exemplar work to show the class, it will have to do... :) Good night.
